For Dora Zang, immigration law is not just a central element of her practice; it is a deeply personal and profoundly important aspect of who she is. An immigrant herself, Dora grew up in China and moved to the U.S. to pursue a legal education and career focused on helping others navigate their journey to a better life.

Dora understands that her efforts can change the trajectories of lives and the fortunes of businesses. She appreciates both the needs and priorities of employers as well as the hopes and frustrations that the immigration process can bring for those wanting to work and live in the States. Fluent in Mandarin, Dora has a combination of personal empathy and professional experience that makes her an indispensable ally, advisor, and advocate in a wide range of employment-based and family-based immigration matters.

Dora has represented multinational companies, startups, scientific laboratories, entrepreneurs, universities, and professionals in a wide range of nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, including H-1B, H-3, L-1, E-2, O, EB-1A (Individuals with Extraordinary Ability), EB-1B (Outstanding Professors or Researchers), EB-1C (Multinational Managers or Executives), National Interest Waiver, PERM labor certification, and EB-5 Immigrant Investor petitions.

A skilled and knowledgeable advocate, Dora has represented clients appearing before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Board of Immigration Appeals, the Department of Labor, and the Department of State.

Dora’s experience and skills do not stop at immigration but extend to the intricacies and particularities of intellectual property law. In her intellectual property practice, Dora represents clients globally, catering to both individuals and businesses across diverse industries such as arts, education, entertainment, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and software. She provides comprehensive advice and guidance on trademark portfolios, focusing on the protection and registration of trademarks, including appearing before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Leveraging her experience, Dora assists clients in developing strategies tailored to meet their intellectual property goals, reinforcing brand strength, and safeguarding reputations. Her experience also includes work on real estate, corporate, and tort-related matters.

When not serving her clients, Dora likes to spend time with her family, baking, snowboarding, and gardening.
