A formidable commercial litigator and trusted business advisor, Bill Castle protects and advances the interests of entrepreneurs, closely held companies, and financial institutions in a broad range of business disputes. Bill combines his well-honed advocacy skills with strategies tailored to align with each client’s immediate and long-term objectives, pursuing favorable resolutions both as a forceful courtroom presence and as a tactful negotiator.

The enduring client relationships Bill has built throughout his career are a testament not only to the results he obtains but also a product of his commitment to clear and consistent communication. He empowers his clients to make informed decisions while allowing them to focus on their business operations and livelihood. The approaches Bill develops are designed to address the business implications of a dispute as well as its legal issues, facilitating cost-effective outcomes that make bottom-line sense.

In his two decades of practice, Bill has counseled clients through conflicts between shareholders and other company stakeholders involving fiduciary duty claims, controversies arising from commercial real estate transactions and liens, the enforcement of non-competition agreements and other restrictive covenants, service agreements and other contractual disputes, as well as commercial foreclosures and evictions. He has successfully represented clients in all phases of various commercial disputes, including litigation and trials before state and federal courts, court-mandated and private arbitrations, mediations, administrative hearings, post-judgment enforcement proceedings, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, and appeals.

Bill resides in his hometown of Batavia with his wife and children. When not serving his clients, he enjoys attending his children’s many sporting events and coaching his daughters’ soccer teams.
