Avery S. Buffa is an Associate with the firm. He is also an experienced attorney who clients turn to for creative solutions to the vast array of issues that business owners confront every day. Tailoring his representation to each client’s needs, goals, and circumstances and building long-term relationships grounded in trust, Avery is a valued partner and steadfast ally committed to their success.

Concentrating his practice in the areas of real estate, commercial transactions, tax matters, and corporate, Avery serves clients across a broad spectrum of industries. He understands that approaches that may have worked yesterday may not be suited for tomorrow, so he treats every matter as an opportunity to find the optimal and most efficient way to achieve his clients’ objectives and goals.

Avery advises clients on all types of commercial contracts, including technology and service agreements, and facilitates the acquisition and disposition of commercial, industrial and residential real estate, office and commercial lease transactions, and property tax exemption applications. In addition, Avery also counsels tax-exempt clients on entity formation, state and federal tax compliance, and governance matters.

Avery’s representation extends to businesses on corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, and employment law matters, including employment agreements and employee separation agreements.

A graduate of DePaul University, Avery earned his law degree from DePaul University College of Law as well as a Master’s degree from New School University. When not serving his clients, Avery likes to exercise, cooking, and spending time with his family.
